1/23/2024 EnchantaVaughn Approved 1.Behavior: Today’s session was utilized to continue assisting JaCaeri and his mother with achieving a level of effective and competent parenting skills as it relates to coping skills as mother reports his aggressive behaviors can last up to 10 minutes in duration. 2. Behavior: JaCaeri appeared to be upset with QMHP-C as discussion with his mother about his behaviors at which he could close his ears with behaviors lasting about 2 minutes in duration. 1.Intervention: QMHP-C engaged JaCaeri and his mother in discussion regarding JaCaeri’s behavior within the home and community this week. QMHP-C directed JaCaeri to verbalize his thoughts and feelings regarding his progress towards accomplishing his ISP goals. QMHP-C engaged JaCaeri’s mother in discussion regarding her progress towards achieving a level of effective parenting skills. QMHP-C engaged both JaCaeri and his mother in discussion regarding stress management and effective ways to recognize signs of stress as it relates to coping skills. 2. Intervention: QMHP-C discussed the importance of properly managing stress at all times. QMHP-C utilized a stress management pamphlet to educated JaCaeri and his mother on healthy ways to manage their stress. QMHP-C actively listened as JaCaeri and his mother verbalized their thoughts and feelings about their understanding of the stress management techniques as it relates to coping skills. 1. Response: JaCaeri and his mother seemed to be receptive to today’s session and information provided by QMHP-C by engaging in conversation freely about stress management as it relates to coping skills and admitting to not knowing certain ways to deal with stress. JaCaeri continues to make low moderate progress towards accomplishing his ISP goals. JaCaeri demonstrates the ability to follow directions, respect authority and decrease aggressive behaviors more consistently in the home than in the community however this behavior remains to be an issue. JaCaeri and his mother were willing and able to explore JaCaeri’s behaviors and his mother’s parenting skills. 2. Response: JaCaeri’s mother has also made some progress towards enhancing her parenting skills. JaCaeri and his mother exhibited the ability to communicate with each other without the use of aggressive behaviors. However, they both admit that they struggle with managing their stress appropriately at times. With the use of stress management techniques as it relates to coping skills, they both verbally agreed to work towards enhancing their ability to manage stress. JaCaeri was compliant with all requests and did not require redirection for any maladaptive behaviors.
